COSMIC JAUNT 2020 - a "virtual" Cosmo adventure to bring the joy of astronomy & space science for the younger generation. This summer, we conducted this Astronomy Summer Camp, in our quest to foster an interest in astronomy and space science in every child.

Established in 2018, our programs have been widely appreciated within a span of 2 years. Last year more than 300 students had actively participated in our astronomy summer camps across Delhi/NCR.

This year, we introduced our VIRTUAL CAMP. 5 topics in 5 days. For 4 age groups. All online. The activities were designed around easily available material and downloadable printouts.  More than 2500 students participated, in the multiple camps conducted from April to September.

Students explored the universe with us this summer for 5 days through interactions with astronomy educators. Experts guided the students through innovative hands-on space science activities with conceptual understanding. Each day, a new topic was introduced with online multimedia presentations and expert guided activities. Program details mentioned below.

Message from STEM & Space Team

Cosmic Jaunt ONLINE Astronomy sessions have been designed to cover a gamut of topics in space and astronomy, and we are bringing a variety of unique activities involving new technology, story-based learning for junior level, and science-based DIY activities for  middle and senior level.

While intended to induce fun, our programs also emphasized hands-on learning with expert guided activities. We aim to encourage children to explore emerging trends in science and technology and broaden their minds while giving them glimpses into futuristic careers.

All session kits were carefully designed to use readily available material. In fact, because of the success of our online mode of this summer camp, we were able to break geographical boundaries and take this camp not only to all parts of India, but also to UAE Philippines, Malaysia and Singapore

"With the essential need to involve kids at home during the pandemic, we addressed the need of the hour by designing highly impactful Astronomy sessions, customized to use online tools to engage students optimally. We plan to use our experiences in online teaching to further bring astronomy experiences to students everywhere" - Dr. Mila Mitra, Co-Founder and Academic Head
